IIA has been interacting with SIDBI since inception of IIA in 1985 however this interaction picked up pace in 2003 when Small Industry Service Center (SISC) now renamed as MSME Knowledge Bank (MKB) was set up as a joint venture of SIDBI and IIA at IIA Bhawan Vibhuti Khand Gomti Nagar Lucknow. This center is fully operational and is serving the MSME’s as per the objective laid out in 2003. Mr. Brij Mohan otherthan Executive Director- SIDBI was actively involved in setting up this center as a joint venture. SIDBI today is an active partner of IIA for supporting various events organized for the benefit of MSME’s as well as sharing the knowledge for publication in IIA Monthly News Magazine

SIDBI & IIA also set up a Credit Facilitation Center in 2012 which was operational for some time but later due to the policy change in SIDBI this center was closed. Though IIA is still trying to revive it of its own.
