NEED FOR SETTING UP IMDC
Indian Industries Association (IIA) is working exclusively for the promotion and development of MSMEs for 35 years now since 1985. It is observed that the knowledge and skills training programme organized by various professional / vocational / MSME Development Institutions do not meet the exact need / requirements of MSME’s. Even the programme organized by the apex institutions are either suited to the big enterprises or are not affordable by the MSME’s. Even the programmes are designed without the need analysis of the target MSME’s. As such there is a wide gap between the developmental needs of MSME’s and the programme / manpower available in the market for them.

Indian Industries Association (IIA) by virtue of its structure and functioning is connected with the MSME Entrepreneur at the grass root level through its Chapters. As such , IIA is in a better position to understand the developmental needs of MSME’s without much of efforts compared to any body else. Hence the need for setting up of this unique “IIA MSME Development Center” (IMDC) was felt.
